Exercises To Calm Your Anxious Thoughts
Focus on your breath.
Start by making the breath even. Inhale and exhale for 4 counts each. Keep this up for a few rounds, at least 5.
Then, see if you can lengthen your exhale. Continue the 4 count inhale but see if you can lengthen the exhale to 6 counts then eventually 8. See if you can keep this up for a few rounds, ideally 5-10 rounds.
