How to Take An Effective Mental Health Day 

If someone else told you they needed a mental health day, you’d encourage them to truly disconnect.

But somehow with ourselves it’s really hard to put up an out of office, enforce boundaries or say no. Give yourself a day without responding to email or picking up a phone call. If that means you have to bring yourself on a yoga retreat or let your phone run out of battery — do it! We’re not going to recharge by doing the same things that are exhausting us. Give yourself a day away from the constant chatter, to-do lists and emails.
